"You Are Beautiful" Card with The Scrapbook Diaries

Good morning, afternoon, evening - guess it all depends on where you are in the world.  The fact that people all over the world can communicate with each other, and learn from each other, so easily these days still blows my mind!!  I have spent the day trying to get the store in order because our friend Mara Domene will be here tonight.  She is giving a class in the store tomorrow on how to make a Moleskin notebook.  Trust me, her work is so good you cannot tell that her book is not made by Moleskin.  I am so excited to learn how to make this book!

Today I am sharing another 4" note card using one of my new favorite images. There is a story here -

I love You Tube.

And last year I started to watch videos by Gabrielle Pollacco - an amazing mixed media artist from Canada.  No, I am not kissing butt...she really is amazing and you will feel the same way after you watch her vids.  LOL

Her videos are mesmerizing, she uses the best music, she makes it all look so easy, and I have learned a few things from watching her videos.

Well, during THIS video, Shabby Chic Wall Art, she draws an amazing figure of the back of a woman, in a very chic and sexy dress, which is the focal point of the whole project.

And I fell in love with this image.

As did so many other people!

Because she came ended up coming out with a rubber stamp of this image for her line with The Scrapbook Diaries.

Story over.  Time for the card.  LOL

I started with a piece of white cardstock, 3.5" square.  Using Versamark Ink, Black Sparkle embossing powder (Ranger), and a heat gun - I first stamped and embossed the woman in the Couture dress from Gabis Haute Couture Stamp Set. Then I stamped the words "you are" and "beautiful" from Gabis Word Set.  I suggest you use a stamp positioner for the words.

Next I colored in the dress using R00 (Pinkish White) for the skin, RV11 (Pink) for the top section of the dress, RV34 (Dark Pink) for the bow and flowers in her hair, E33 (Sand) for her hair, and a Wink of Stella Clear Brush Marker for the bottom part of the dress.

The last steps - made my card base of white cardstock, 4" x 8", scored and folded at 4" and top folding.  Then I adhered a piece of patterned paper with silver flowers on it to the card front, then a piece of black cardstock, 3.75" square.  Lastly, I adhered a piece of white fun foam under the white cardstock with my images on it (to give some height) and adhered this to the black cardstock.  I also adhered a crystal in each corner and on the bow.

I hope you enjoyed this card.  I think this is such a classy image and card.

Remember to leave a comment below to be entered in the contest at the end of the month for a chance to win all the cards I make in February.  Until the next time -

Hugs from Brasil -
Michael
